Fujairah- on the hill side #travel #lifestyle #dubai

Fujairah is an emirate in the UAE, 1h30 mins from Dubai. It’s perfect to recharge batteries and be near the breezy sea air.

The landscape is very different from Dubai, with rocky hills , watched by the Indian Ocean. We escaped the Dubai heat and spend a few days away, before the school run started.

I stayed with Carys in the Fujairah Media Rotana but there’s a few more hotels along the coast to pick from. This hotel is particularly good for families with children.

Our room was big and comfortable with a separate living area.

During the day we spent most of the time in the pool, in August it feels too hot on the beach. There’s a slide in the pool that kept Carys busy for hours. There’s also play areas around the well maintained gardens. If you require some quiet time, there’s a children club that is very safe and give your little ones a chance to socialise.

Late afternoon, we went for walks, while Carys played , I took in some very needed breeze and fresh air. Mealtimes , it’s best to get all inclusive , the food is very nice and plenty of choice for children.

There isn’t much around Fujairah, be prepared not to do much. Good chance to catch up on your reading and spend some quality time. If your like snorkelling, Snoopy island is across from the beach shore but better check the time of the year, the water is more clear.

Fujairah is a perfect weekend getaway and a relaxing holiday ❤️
